Dr. Carole Wegner is the Director of Embryology/ART for the Center for Reproductive Biology of Indiana, LLC (CRBI) and has worked as a reproductive biologist for over 20 years. She is board-certified as a High-Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis. Dr. Wegner has conducted extensive research in reproductive science; specifically, she has previously studied hormonally-regulated fertility proteins, sperm maturation proteins, embryo attachment, and placentation. Her present clinical research interests include preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) and fertility preservation. She is married and has two children.
Patricia Villines has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and has worked as an embryologist since 1987. She is certified as a Medical Technologist by College of American Pathologists. Patricia is also certified as Technical Supervisor in Andrology and Embryology by American Board of Bioanalysis. Her research interests are ovarian cryopreservation and oocyte and embryo vitrification. She enjoys water-skiing, reading and spending time with her three sons and husband.
Alicia Clifford is originally from Valparaiso, IN and attended Purdue University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon completion of her undergraduate training, she remained in the laboratory of Dr. Rebecca Krisher as a graduate student; among her research interests were pre-implantation embryo metabolism and culture medium formulation. Following attainment of her Masters of Science, she made a successful transition to human IVF. Alicia currently lives in Fishers with her husband, Eric, and their two children, Alexander and Natalie.
Katherine Vernon joined the clinical reproductive biology team in 1996 with 25 years experience in office management. Although you may not meet her face to face, she is the person behind the scenes setting up your lab chart, entering all the data in the computer, and finding answers for your questions or concerns. Additionally, she is often your first telephone contact and your liaison between the laboratory and our practice. She is an avid reader, pet lover, and gardening enthusiast.
